The Security team is looking for its next Infosec Vulnerability & Asset Security Specialist to make a difference in their team.

Mission:
Design, govern and lead the local Vulnerability & Asset Management (VAM) strategy for Walmart Chile, exercising ownership of the program (policies, SLAs, KPIs and audit evidence). The role defines strategic and technical priorities, governs the quality and integration of the asset inventory and configuration processes, and leads the identification, prioritization and remediation of vulnerabilities. It coordinates remediation with Infrastructure, Engineering, DevSecOps and GRC, drives automation to reduce backlog and MTTR, and reports risk posture and program performance to InfoSec Leadership. The role is accountable for meeting compliance requirements and delivering audit-ready evidence (including Chile’s Data Protection Law).
Your main responsibilities:
Design and govern the VAM program — InfoSec governance
- Ensure policies, SLAs and KPIs that drive prioritization and measurable risk reduction
Own asset inventory and reconciliation - Asset management
- Ensure coverage and traceability of critical assets (target ≥95%) and auditable evidence
Execute and manage vulnerability scanning and feeds -Operations (on-prem/ cloud/ containers)
- Detect vulnerabilities early and reduce blind spots across environments (on-prem, cloud, containers).
Recommend and coordinate remediation strategies - Remediation coordination
- Deliver pragmatic remediation plans and temporary mitigations to minimize operational impact and meet SLAs.
Produce audit-ready reporting and executive summaries – Reporting
- Provide leadership with clear risk posture and evidence for compliance.
What do we expect from you?
- 5–7 years in cybersecurity; minimum 3 years leading vulnerability/asset management programs in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience operating and designing VAM programs and coordinating closely with engineering teams.
- Operational experience with platforms: Tenable, Nessus, Snyk (or equivalents).
- Integration and reconciliation: CMDB + EDR + MDM + CSPM.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, automation via APIs and scripting.
- Knowledge of the following frameworks: NIST CSF, OWASP, ISO 27001.
- Knowledge of the Chilean Data Protection Law (evidence and compliance requirements).
- Experience defining SLAs, KPIs and reporting to leadership.
- Relevant certifications: CISSP, SANS Vulnerability Management, IT Asset Management.
