HR Payroll Specialist

Key Responsibilities

As a HR Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll support cycle, including:

  • Payroll Data Management: Collect, consolidate, and validate all payroll inputs. Manage electronic timekeeping systems and review timesheets for accuracy.
  • Employee Support: Serve as the first point of contact, providing information and answering employee questions on payroll-related matters with clarity and empathy.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain and update employee records in Payroll systems and files, ensuring the highest level of data integrity.
  • System Alignment: Ensure data is perfectly aligned between the HR Information System (HRIS), Payroll systems, and physical employee files.
  • Payroll Processing & Support: Process payroll directly where applicable and act as the primary liaison with external Payroll Providers to ensure flawless execution.
  • Process & Compliance: Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures and checklists are updated. Perform rigorous data checks and controls before every payroll cycle approval.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and work on process improvements for the payroll function across supported countries and processes.
  • Reporting & Auditing: Prepare and analyze periodic payroll reports. Provide accurate and timely inputs for internal and external audit requests.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in Payroll, HR Operations, or Finance Operations with a focus on compensation.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end HR and Finance processes and their interdependencies.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Technical proficiency in MS Excel and experience with reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a problem-solving aptitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Proven organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • A result-driven team player with a desire to collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment.
