Key Responsibilities
1.Cost Management & Analysis:
- Monitor material costs (raw materials, packaging, freight) and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyze variances in procurement, production, and distribution costs.
- Develop standard costs for materials and update pricing models.
2.Inventory & Working Capital Optimization:
- Oversee inventory valuation (FIFO/LIFO) and reconcile physical stock with financial records.
- Implement strategies to reduce excess stock, minimize waste, and improve cash flow.
- Track key metrics: Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO), inventory turnover, obsolescence.
3.Supply Chain Financial Support:
- Partner with procurement to evaluate supplier contracts, payment terms, and rebate programs.
- Assess logistics and warehousing costs (transportation, handling, storage).
- Model financial impact of supply chain decisions (e.g., sourcing changes, network redesign).
4.Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts for materials-related expenses.
- Provide scenario analysis for supply chain risks (e.g., material shortages, price volatility).
5.Compliance & Controls:
- Ensure SOX compliance for inventory, procurement, and cost accounting processes.
- Audit cycle counts and inventory reporting accuracy.
6.Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Advise operations teams on cost drivers and profitability levers.
- Support new product development (NPD) with cost-benefit analysis.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA/CMA/MBA preferred.
- 5+ years in finance/accounting roles with 3+ years in supply chain finance (building materials/manufacturing sector ideal).Sodimac&homedepot finance working experience.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel/Power BI.
Skills & Competencies:
- Deep knowledge of cost accounting standards (GAAP) and inventory management.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (SQL, Tableau a plus).
- Ability to translate operational data into financial insights.
- Strong communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
- Lean/Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
