Hasselt University invites applications for a PhD position in the area of numerical analysis and mathematical modelling, focusing on flow through porous media. The successful candidate will join an international research team and contribute to the development of advanced numerical methods and simulations.

Requirements

– Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics or a closely related field; final-year master’s students are also encouraged to apply.

– Excellent academic results.

– Strong interest in applied and numerical mathematics, with particular focus on mathematical modelling and numerical simulations for porous media flows.

– Ability to work collaboratively within an international team.

– Proficiency in presenting and reporting research outcomes.

– Proactive and precise approach to research tasks.

– Willingness to undertake short research trips abroad.

– Fluency in written and spoken English.
