Executive Director – Good Neighbors Chile

On behalf of Good Neighbors, a global NGO present in more than 50 countries, we are seeking an Executive Director to lead and oversee Good Neighbors’ operations in Chile.
This role carries full strategic, organizational, and operational responsibility at the national level, with a mandate focused exclusively on consolidating the organization’s presence, sustainability, and impact within Chile.
The NGO is dedicated to advancing children’s rights, empowering vulnerable communities, and fostering sustainable development through education, solidarity, and human rights promotion. Purpose of the Role The Executive Director will be responsible for the overall strategic, organizational, and operational management of Good Neighbors Chile.
This leadership role aims to consolidate the NGO presence in the country, ensuring financial sustainability, legal compliance, organizational excellence, and strong stakeholder engagement. Ultimately, the Executive Director will drive the mission to maximize social impact and improve the lives of children and communities in Chile.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Representation: Lead the organization in Chile, positioning it as a reference actor in social development. Represent Good Neighbors before authorities, donors, media, and the private sector.
- Organizational & Operational Management: Ensure quality delivery of programs and projects, foster high-performing teams, and oversee an efficient and transparent organizational structure.
- Fundraising & Financial Sustainability: Design and implement diversified fundraising strategies—including individual giving, corporate partnerships, government funds, and international cooperation—to strengthen sustainable revenue streams.
- Governance & Compliance: Report to the Board of Directors and the GPC (Global Partnership Center), ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting global policies on child protection, ethics, and accountability. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; postgraduate studies in management, leadership, public policy, nonprofit management, or international development preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of senior leadership experience within NGOs, foundations, international organizations, or nonprofit institutions.
- Proven track record in strategic planning, financial management, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement (public and private sectors).
- Advanced proficiency in English (mandatory).
- Availability to travel within and outside Chile (mandatory).
