In our mission to lead the transformation of the energy market, we are currently looking for an Environmental Specialist to support our projects in South America.

This position is offered on a fixed-term basis to cover a temporary leave.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As part of the Development team of South America, this position will be accountable for:

• Management of national environmental and sector regulations.
• Understanding processes and executing sectoral permits.
• Verification and compliance with RCA on site.
• Generating KPIs of jobs, tasks, obligations, among others.
• Support the management of the environmental plans for the company's projects, ensuring their implementation is based on the defined standards.
• Support in obtaining sector permits and new facilities based on business objectives and compliance with legal requirements.
• Diagnose and evaluate environmental aspects.
• Select, coordinate and support contractors to develop the required environmental studies, field studies, and complementary studies to obtain permits.
• Present, manage and obtain mixed sectoral environmental permits.
• Present, manage and obtain environmental licenses for projects.
• Establish good relationships and strive for agreements with the different stakeholders of projects and particularly with communities.
• Travel to project sites when required (field studies, site visits with authorities, presentations or negotiations with the community, among others).

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERTISE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or relevant field.
• Master’s degree in Environmental or Renewables (highly valued).
• 3 – 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• English level required: C1/C2.
