What To Expect

As a Commercial Field Service Electrician, you will report to the Field Manager and provide diagnostic, troubleshooting, preventive, and corrective maintenance services to Tesla’s energy products, including Commercial solar PV systems, Batteries such as Powerpacks and Megapacks, and Electric vehicle Charging Stations.

The Field Energy Operations team is responsible for the ongoing success of Tesla’s class leading fleet of energy products. You will be empowered to work across the entire Tesla organization to solve problems and ensure success in the field service execution.

What You'll Do

• Perform required preventive maintenance activities on commercial inverters to maintain warranty coverage.
• Respond to corrective maintenance cases and update online case logs accurately.
• Attend and demonstrate outstanding performance at inverter training schools.
• Collaborate with Operations Engineering Systems Reliability team to respond to case directions and provide necessary data.
• Ensure the condition of vehicles, tooling, electronics, and company issued property.

What You'll Bring

• Minimum 5 years maintenance or electrical experience with a State Certified Electrician card.
• Experience with power/hand tools, electrical equipment, isolation meters, and multimeters. Ability to navigate various computer applications.
• Willingness to travel to multiple sites and the flexibility to work weekends or overtime.
• Ability to work at heights and in extreme environments, with physical capability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Familiarity with servicing solar PV systems, battery storage, or electric vehicle charging stations.
• Preferred previous OSHA safety and heavy equipment training, along with certifications in renewable energy.
