Expected Duration

Duration of the internship is estimated between 2 to 6 months.

Duties and Responsibilities

The intern will support the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) by assisting in various research tasks.

• Produce required analytical elements for reports and documents.
• Collect data related to climate change.
• Survey literature on climate change impacts and policies.

Qualifications/Skills

A bachelor’s degree in relevant fields is required, and pursuing a master’s degree is desirable. Knowledge of econometrics and programming languages will be advantageous.

Language Requirements

Fluency in spoken and written Spanish is a must; knowledge of another UN language is a plus.

Additional Information

Interns are not financially compensated by the UN. All associated costs for travel, accommodation, and living will be the responsibility of the interns.
