Location: Santiago, Chile (with regular travel across Peru and Bolivia)

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Director, Specialist Sales to spearhead business development and new client acquisition across Chile, Peru, and Bolivia for Mastercard Move. This is a hunter-focused role, ideal for a senior sales leader with a deep understanding of cross-border payments, a robust network within the Chilean banking and financial ecosystem, and a strong track record of driving B2B commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Leadership & Strategic Business Development: Lead the development of new business opportunities, securing strategic partnerships across financial institutions and fintechs in Chile, Peru, and Bolivia.
  • Cross-Border Payments Focus: Champion Mastercard Move’s cross-border value proposition—including remittances, B2B transfers, disbursements, and account-to-account payments.
  • Regional Go-to-Market Execution: Build and execute localized go-to-market plans to drive adoption of Mastercard Move solutions.
  • Executive Relationship Building: Engage with decision-makers across the banking and payments landscape.
  • Pipeline & Forecast Management: Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline with accurate forecasting, reporting, and deal progression oversight.
  • Deal Structuring & Negotiation: Lead end-to-end commercial discussions, including pricing, proposals, and contracts.
  • Market Intelligence: Provide insights on regional trends, competitor activities, and client needs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with global and regional teams to ensure deal success.

About You

  • 8+ years of experience in business development or enterprise sales roles within payments or financial services.
  • Deep understanding of international payment flows and regulatory considerations.
  • Strong professional relationships within the Chilean financial sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and close strategic, high-value deals.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English, with excellent communication skills.
  • Deep familiarity with the business and regulatory landscapes in Chile.
