AWS Infrastructure Services seeks an experienced Director to lead the Middle Europe (MEU) Regional Data Center Operations. Based in Germany, this role will oversee critical infrastructure that powers AWS services across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive safety culture and security initiatives across all regional data center facilities
• Develop and implement operational strategies that align with AWS's global standards
• Oversee capacity planning, delivery, and growth strategies
• Direct engineering operations across multiple infrastructure types
• Manage complex multi-stakeholder coordination requirements
• Champion inclusion, diversity, and equity initiatives
• Implement sustainability programs and ensure environmental compliance
• Oversee regional financial performance and budget planning
• Drive continuous improvement in operational metrics
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
• 5+ years of experience in data center operations
• 5+ years of people management experience
• Proven track record of managing complex operational environments
• Experience with capacity planning
• Strong financial acumen with budget responsibility
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans
• Experience working with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
• Experience working in European markets
• Knowledge of sustainability practices
• Track record of implementing innovative operational improvements
• Experience managing diverse infrastructure types
