We are hiring a Director of Nursing for the SAFE Services department at UofL Hospital, central to supporting victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.

Role & Responsibilities

The Director of Nursing will oversee nursing care, manage resources, and ensure the department's operations 24/7. Key responsibilities include:

• Directing nursing practices and services
• Overseeing personnel actions and development
• Coordinating with other departments and leadership
• Implementing hospital goals
• Monitoring patient outcomes and quality care

Essential Functions

• Develop staff guidelines and maintain adequate staffing levels
• Lead quality improvement initiatives
• Manage budgets in collaboration with finance

Qualifications

Required qualifications include a current Kentucky RN license, a master’s degree in nursing or a leadership field, and extensive experience in nursing leadership within an academic setting.
