We are seeking a Director of Data Consulting to join our remote team. This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape data-driven strategies for global clients and influence the direction of enterprise data solutions. You will collaborate with talented professionals across multiple disciplines and help drive innovation in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, development, and rollout of enterprise data platforms and solutions that align with business objectives and long-term vision
  • Define and architect data frameworks such as data lakes, advanced analytics platforms, and reporting solutions using leading cloud providers and modern data processing technologies
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, Solution Architects, and technical teams to convert business needs into scalable and future-ready data architectures
  • Advise clients on data strategy, governance, and operating models to build efficient and sustainable data ecosystems tailored to their requirements
  • Lead consulting engagements and presales activities by showcasing deep knowledge in data engineering, data management, and analytics
  • Evaluate current data environments, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements for data quality, accessibility, and governance
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data management, AI/ML, and cloud solutions, applying these insights to client projects
  • Contribute to the creation and deployment of accelerators, blueprints, and open-source tools to strengthen EPAM’s Data Service Offerings
  • Promote adherence to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices, ensuring quality-driven code and effective CI/CD processes
  • Clearly communicate complex technical concepts and strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences, supporting stakeholder alignment and informed decisions
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on all matters related to data technology and strategy

Requirements

  • At least 12 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 8 years as a Data Technology Consultant, Data Architect, or similar role on enterprise data initiatives
  • Participation in at least 10 projects or experience launching 3 or more products or key product capabilities to market
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams of 70 or more FTEs, or smaller teams with significant business impact
  • Advanced expertise in data platforms and cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Proficiency with data processing frameworks such as Databricks and MS Fabric for large-scale data solutions
  • Strong programming skills in SQL and Python for data engineering and analytics tasks
  • Experience with Master Data Management (MDM), data governance, and data quality tools to ensure reliable and accurate data
  • Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, including natural language processing and computer vision
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and best practices for quality-focused software development
  • Deep knowledge of data architecture, data lifecycle management, and enterprise data product design
  • Hands-on experience delivering large-scale data solutions, including data lakes, analytics platforms, and reporting systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of designing and implementing innovative data solutions
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders to define and execute impactful data strategies
  • Proven history of managing and delivering complex data projects that achieve measurable business results
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of handling multiple priorities and projects at once
  • Fluent English communication skills at C1 level, both written and spoken
  • Consulting expertise, including stakeholder management, client relationship development, and clear communication of technical topics
  • Ability to stay informed about industry trends, conduct market and competitor analysis, and apply findings to strategic planning
