Data Delivery Manager / Analytics Lead
We are seeking a hands-on and results-driven Analytics Lead to join our Gameplay Analytics team. In this role, you will guide a small team of Data Analysts, develop impactful data assets, and generate insights that shape product and ecosystem strategies. You will use your expertise in data technologies, analytics, and visualization to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive data-informed decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design, game development, and product management teams to identify business opportunities and create metrics and insights to guide strategies
- Partner with engineering and data platform teams to properly scope and capture required data for insights and data models
- Transform complex data into usable data models, production metrics, reports, and actionable insights
- Evaluate and refine metrics to ensure they align with long-term business and ecosystem goals
- Design and execute experiments collaboratively with design, product, and analytics teams to improve products and processes
- Lead, mentor, and set direction for a team of Data Analysts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and analytics strategies
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in analytics or a related field, with proven interest in and knowledge of live service video games
- At least 2 years of experience leading and mentoring a team of analytics professionals
- Strong product sense and a data-driven mindset with a proven ability to influence products through analytics and measurement
- Experience collaborating with technical teams on data instrumentation and maintaining data quality
- Proficiency in writing efficient and scalable SQL over large-scale datasets
- Development skills in Python, particularly within the analytics ecosystem
- Familiarity with operational tools such as code version control (e.g., GitHub) or orchestration frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow)
- Understanding of experimental design and A/B testing for product analysis
- Exposure to advanced statistical methods and practical application of analytical techniques
- Native-level fluency in English
Nice to have
- Familiarity with PySpark or Scala in distributed computing
- Experience with tools like Databricks and Apache Airflow
- Proficiency in PySpark for scalable distributed processing
- Familiarity with data visualization platforms like Salesforce Tableau
- Knowledge of GitHub for version control and workflow collaboration
- Experience in a "full-stack" environment - data file ingest, ETL, data storage interaction, application development, communication of results to storage systems, code version control
