This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of YLD. We are currently looking for a Contract Senior Frontend Engineer (CSS/HTML) in Latin America.

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Frontend Engineer to join a fast-paced client team focused on building innovative digital products. In this role, you will craft scalable, resilient, and user-friendly frontend solutions while collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and stakeholders. You will work in an Agile environment, following test-driven development principles, pair programming, and continuous integration/delivery workflows. This position allows you to deliver high-quality features, optimize web performance, and ensure accessibility standards. You will contribute to a culture of knowledge-sharing, continuous learning, and technical excellence. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and passion for front-end technologies are essential for success.

Accountabilities

  • Build and deliver high-quality frontend features that meet client and customer requirements
  • Implement responsive and adaptive designs using modern CSS and HTML techniques, including Flexbox, Grid, and media queries
  • Collaborate with team members on engineering initiatives, code reviews, and pair programming to maintain code quality and consistency
  • Ensure accessibility and semantic HTML standards are met in all web applications
  • Debug and optimize frontend performance across multiple browsers and devices
  • Participate in internal events, knowledge-sharing sessions, and design discussions to enhance team capabilities
  • Follow Agile and CI/CD workflows, including test-driven development and continuous integration


Requirements

  • Proven commercial experience with CSS, HTML, and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React)
  • Strong understanding of CSS fundamentals, modular CSS methodologies (BEM, OOCSS), and layout techniques
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, including ES6 features, asynchronous programming, and closures
  • Experience with responsive, mobile-first designs and cross-browser compatibility
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices for web applications
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/delivery practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work flexible hours and participate in an on-call rotation if needed
