The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled, strategic, and detail-oriented Contract Administrator with strong expertise in contract management to join our team in Santiago, Chile.

The professional will be responsible for safeguarding the organization’s legal, contractual, and commercial interests, ensuring that every contractual obligation, milestone, and risk is managed with precision, timeliness, and full traceability. This role is essential to prevent financial losses, anticipate disputes, ensure contractual compliance, and strengthen the overall health of projects, operating under international standards such as FIDIC, NEC, and EPC/EPCM.


Main Activities and Responsibilities

High-Performance Contract Management

• Administer, draft, and review complex contracts, ensuring legal, technical, and commercial consistency.

• Monitor strict compliance with obligations, milestones, scope, guarantees, bonds, and insurance requirements.

• Establish contract governance criteria aligned with international best practices.

Contract Risk Prevention and Mitigation

• Identify emerging contractual risks, deviations, or non-compliance, and activate mitigation actions.

• Maintain a robust, accurate, and up-to-date risk matrix.

Strategic Negotiation and Stakeholder Management

• Participate in negotiations with clients, contractors, and suppliers, securing favorable conditions for the organization.

• Request and manage formal and timely contractual clarifications to avoid misinterpretations.

Advanced Claim Management

• Lead the identification, documentation, preparation, and support of well-founded claims.

• Manage dispute scenarios and coordinate with legal teams when required.

Documentation, Traceability, and Compliance

• Maintain a solid, traceable, and well-organized contractual record for internal and external audits or potential disputes.

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, internal policies, and contractual standards.

Multidisciplinary Coordination

• Collaborate actively with legal, finance, PMO, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure contractual alignment.

• Promote a strong contract management culture within project teams, including training in FIDIC, NEC, and EPC/EPCM.

Executive Reporting and Performance Tracking

• Prepare periodic reports on contract status, risks, claims, guarantees, and formal communications.

• Provide management with visibility on trends, potential disputes, and improvement opportunities.

Strategic Project Support

• Support operational teams in contractual interpretations, scope definitions, and key contract constraints.

• Advise managers and technical teams on sensitive decisions that may impact cost, schedule, or compliance.


Specific Knowledge

• Contract law and sector regulations

• Management of guarantees, bonds, and insurance policies

• Claim management (documentation, argumentation, supporting evidence)

• Contract risk matrices

• Formal communication systems

• Document management and traceability platforms


Education and Minimum Requirements

• Degree in Law, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in contract administration, preferably in construction, energy, infrastructure, or EPC projects

• Strong knowledge of contract law, applicable regulations, and risk management

• Proven experience with FIDIC, NEC, and EPC/EPCM models

• Advanced negotiation, analytical, and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple contracts, milestones, and deadlines simultaneously

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract/document management tools (ERP, SharePoint, or similar)

• Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
