FM is currently seeking an Engineer with process or loss prevention experience within the Chemical industry to join our South American Engineering Team. When not in the field, you will work remotely from your home office.

Attributions

• Evaluate the integrity and reliability of equipment, identifying hazards to deliver risk improvement solutions.
• Utilize Operating standards and guides to provide risk guidance and best practices.
• Prepare engineering reports and loss expectancies to support risk improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with various teams on Boiler & Machinery recommendations.
• This field-based role requires travel to large industrial sites to evaluate operations and systems with an expected overnight travel of 75 to 100 nights per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience combined with your engineering degree.
• Position based in Santiago, Chile.
• Experience in a high hazard industry, preferably in the Chemical sector.
• Strong understanding of basic machinery and hands-on exposure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in MS Office.
• Analytical, organized, and possess good problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Results driven and capable of self-learning.
• Fluent in English, Portuguese is a plus.
• A valid B1/B2 USA visa is desired.
