Overview

University Hospital Hairmyres is looking to recruit a Consultant with a Generalist interest in Anaesthesia. The appointee will participate in a dedicated theatre on-call rota based on a 1 in 10 frequency.

Department and Specialties

The new appointee will join a department of 22 consultants undertaking 2.5 and/or 2 session days made up of the following subspecialties: ITU, general surgery, robotics, vascular, ECT, orthopaedics, CEPOD, urology, ophthalmology, ENT, gynaecology, and pre-assessment. Any specialist interest could be accommodated.

Job Details

The exact configuration of sessions will be determined after appointment when a job plan will be issued as part of the contract. The job is offered as a full-time post on a 10 PA basis, with applications considered from those wishing to work less than full-time.

Additional SPA Time

Proposals for additional SPA time from applicants are encouraged. The Board supports applications for extra SPA time for individuals with well-developed ideas for improving services and a commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, Medical Education, Research & Development, etc.
