An opportunity has arisen to perform a support role in the Department of Cellular Pathology at the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy.

Sobre el Departamento

Cellular Pathology is a busy but friendly department which deals with approx. 21,000 biopsy requests and 1100 diagnostic cytology per year. The department is UKAS accredited to ISO 15189.

Responsabilidades

The post involves the reception of clinical specimens and entry of patient data into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Other duties include stock control, equipment maintenance, filing and specimen disposal.

Requisitos

You are required to have a good standard of education demonstrated by Standard Grade English plus one other subject preferably a science subject or SVQ level 3. Ability to multi-task with good organisational and time management skills are essential. Previous experience working in an NHS Medical Laboratory is required.
