The Role

University Hospital Hairmyres is recruiting for a Clerical Officer within the Cardiology Department. This is a part time role where flexible working may be required to meet the service requirements. You will provide a comprehensive Administrative and Clerical support to clinical and non-clinical staff in order to ensure the smooth running of the service. The role requires confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion being maintained at all times. You will have well-developed skills in customer care, excellent communication skills, good organisational and planning skills and have the ability to prioritise work and work on own initiative whilst under pressure.

What we'll need you to bring

  • Educated to standard grade level or experience in a similar role
  • Understand and follow a range of procedures and processes
  • Possess well-developed skills in customer care
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Be able to prioritise work and work on own initiative whilst under pressure
  • IT skills which include working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Ensure confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion are maintained at all times
  • Flexibility

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

It would be great if you also have

  • Relevant office experience
  • Experience of Trakcare Patient Management System

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

This role will be based in Cardiology within University Hospital Hairmyres
