Position Overview

Join our remote team as a Chief Data Engineer to lead the delivery of innovative and scalable data solutions. In this role, you will oversee technical teams, design system architectures, and contribute significantly to projects tackling complex data challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable and efficient data architectures
• Build and maintain data pipelines and workflows to ensure data quality and accessibility
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams
• Enhance system performance, scalability, and reliability
• Establish technical best practices and ensure high-quality code delivery
• Conduct code reviews and participate in technical discussions
• Support pre-sales activities, client engagements, and SWAT team efforts
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and contribute to meetups and technical talks
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and integrate innovative solutions

Requirements

• A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
• At least two years of leadership experience in team management and project oversight
• Experience in two or more full-cycle projects or multiple phases of development lifecycles
• Proven expertise in coding and solving complex technical issues
• Proficiency in Python for data processing, analysis, and automation
• Deep knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud-based data systems
• Experience with Databricks for big data analytics and machine learning workflows
• Strong skills in system design and architecture
• A history of delivering substantial technical impact within projects and organizations
• Broad knowledge across technical domains and stacks
• A commitment to mentoring and sharing knowledge
• A record of innovation, including the introduction of new tools or methodologies
• Flexibility across programming languages and domains
• Fluent communication in English at a B2 level or higher

• Expertise in advanced machine learning and AI frameworks
