About the Role

In this position, you will be responsible for leading technical teams and designing system architectures while tackling complex data challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable and efficient data architectures.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines and workflows to ensure data quality and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and enable data-driven solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
  • Optimize system performance to enhance scalability and reliability.
  • Establish technical best practices and drive high-quality code delivery.
  • Conduct code reviews and actively contribute to technical discussions.
  • Support pre-sales efforts, client engagements, and special SWAT team activities.
  • Promote knowledge sharing within teams and participate in meetups and technical talks.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and integrate them into strategic solutions.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Over 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience, including team management and project direction.
  • Background in at least 2 full-cycle projects or multiple phases of development lifecycles.
  • Proven hands-on expertise in coding and solving complex technical challenges.
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing, analysis, and automation.
  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud-based data solutions.
  • Expertise in Databricks for big data analytics and machine learning workflows.
  • Competency in system design and architecture, balancing high-level vision with detailed implementation.
  • Demonstrated impact in technical contributions within projects and across organizations.
  • Broad cross-disciplinary background in multiple technical domains and stacks.
  • Mindset for mentoring and sharing expertise within teams and the larger community.
  • Capability to innovate by utilizing new tools, frameworks, or methodologies.
  • Flexibility to adapt to diverse programming languages, technical stacks, and domains as needed.
  • Fluent communication skills in English at a B2 level or higher.

Nice to Have

  • Background in real-time data processing and streaming technologies.
  • Knowledge of advanced machine learning and AI frameworks.
  • Familiarity with serverless computing solutions for data workflows.
