The Role

As part of the Catering team, you will deliver a range of food and beverages while adhering to Food Hygiene legislation and NHS Lanarkshire policies. You will meet the nutritional needs of patients, staff, and users of NHS services.

Support for New Staff

Your role will involve working alongside and supporting new staff in the working environment.

Requirements

• Knowledge of catering standards and related procedures.
• Completion of on-the-job training (4-6 weeks) for competency.
• Awareness of Health & Safety and participation in risk assessments.
• Training in the Prevention, Assessment & Management of Violence of Aggression (PaMOVA).
• Undertake NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a busy environment.
• Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate.

Desirable Skills

• Recognised SVQ or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in a catering environment.
• Knowledge of infection control and safety standards.

Contract Type

This is a permanent part-time role requiring 30 hours weekly, with pro-rata salary.

Location and Working Pattern

Based in Catering at University Hospital Monklands, with Monday to Friday variable shifts, latest finish at 20:00 pm.
