You will report to the Head, Relationship Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitating the buying and selling of financial instruments such as stocks, bonds, and commodities on behalf of the company or its clients.
- Providing market research and analysis to help the company make informed investment decisions.
- Assisting in managing and mitigating risks associated with investment activities, including monitoring market fluctuations and implementing hedging strategies.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients, understanding their investment objectives, and providing personalized investment advice and recommendations.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards governing financial transactions and reporting.
- Handling the administrative tasks related to trade settlement, including confirming trades, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records.
- Offering strategic guidance and investment advice tailored to the company's financial goals, risk tolerance, and market conditions.
- Staying abreast of developments in financial markets, regulatory changes, and emerging investment opportunities to provide up-to-date advice and services to the company and its clients.
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in either finance, economics, business administration or a related field from a recognized university or institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in brokerage, financial services or investment management.
- Must have Authorized Dealing Clerk certification from the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investments.
- Must have experience trading on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze market trends, evaluate investment opportunities, and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in using brokerage platforms, trading software and financial analysis tools to execute trades and monitor investment portfolios.
- Able to collaborate effectively with team members, share knowledge and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal and financial concepts and strategies effectively to senior management and stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
