The Position:

The Coordinator of Operations and Maintenance Supervisors – BESS is responsible for overseeing a team of supervisors managing the operation and maintenance of multiple Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) plants. The role involves ensuring efficient plant operations, high availability, and quality service delivery while fostering team collaboration, technical excellence, and compliance with contractual obligations. This position reports directly to the O&M Manager.

1.- Main activities and Responsibilities:

• Operations Management and Supervision
• Oversee and coordinate the operation and maintenance (O&M) activities of multiple BESS plants, ensuring compliance with contractual scope, operational efficiency, and high-quality deliverables.
• Assign and supervise responsibilities among O&M supervisors, ensuring field operations are performed according to established procedures, safety standards, and timelines.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for the plants to identify improvement areas, implementing corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with supervisors.
• Manage operational priorities and ensure the availability of technical and human resources to address the specific needs of each plant in a timely manner.

2.- Team Leadership and Development

• Train, and develop O&M supervisors, fostering their technical growth and leadership within the team.
• Provide constructive feedback regularly, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and collaborative work.
• Motivate the team of supervisors to achieve high standards of technical performance, customer service, and problem-solving.
• Create a positive work environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and initiative among supervisors.
• Ensure supervisors are properly trained on BESS-specific protocols and have the necessary tools to perform their tasks efficiently.

3.- Vendor and Contract Management

• Oversee and manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring that subcontracted O&M activities meet quality, cost, and timeline requirements.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and coordinate periodic evaluations of their performance, implementing improvements or adjustments as needed.
• Manage on-site inventory for each plant to ensure the availability of critical spare parts and consumables, aligning with availability guarantee targets.

4.- Operational Control and Communication

• Coordinate with supervisors to prepare and present operation, maintenance, and failure reports to the O&M Manager, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of information.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the supervisors and the O&M Manager, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Respond with urgency to critical plant issues, leading coordination efforts with customers and supervisors until the issue is resolved satisfactorily.

5.- Continuous Improvement and Technical Support

• Collaborate with supervisors and engineering teams to develop and improve processes, procedures, and protocols specific to BESS operation and maintenance.
• Provide feedback to design and engineering teams on potential improvements to BESS system and component designs.
• Actively participate in failure analysis, technical investigations, and improvement projects, ensuring practical and effective solutions are implemented.
• Coordinate with customers to schedule downtime for preventive and corrective maintenance activities, minimizing operational disruptions.

6.- Financial and Project Management

• Monitor the operational costs of each plant, ensuring operations stay within approved budgets.
• Collaborate with the O&M Manager in planning and executing special projects, ensuring alignment with organizational strategic objectives.

7.- Additional Responsibilities

• Perform periodic on-site inspections to assess operational performance and provide detailed feedback to supervisors and customers.
• Stay updated on technological trends and regulations related to BESS systems, integrating relevant improvements into operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the O&M Manager to support the comprehensive management of plants and teams.

Minimum Requirements:

• 10 years of overall experience
• 5 years of leadership experience
• 4 years of experience in solar inverters or battery storage products
• Must possess customer service, problem-solving skills, and possess decision making and analytical skills
• Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrates broad knowledge of electrical safety.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, power Point and Outlook)

Education or Desired License and Certificates:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
