Overview

We are looking for an experienced AWS Data Engineering Architect to design scalable cloud-based data solutions, build robust AWS data infrastructure, and lead complex data migration initiatives. The role requires strong expertise in AWS data services, modern data engineering architecture, and the ability to work closely with Spanish-speaking stakeholders across delivery and transformation programs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end data engineering solutions on AWS.
• Build and maintain data lake / modern data platform infrastructure including ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption layers.
• Architect and optimize AWS-based data workflows using services such as Amazon S3, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon Athena.
• Define data models, schema designs, and storage strategies for scalable and efficient data access.
• Lead and support data migration initiatives, including source-to-target mapping, data transformation, reconciliation, and cutover planning.
• Develop and govern ETL / ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, and cloud-native orchestration patterns.
• Ensure performance, scalability, security, and reliability of the AWS data platform.
• Collaborate with business, architecture, and engineering teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Strong experience in AWS data engineering and data architecture.
• Hands-on expertise with Amazon S3, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon Athena.
• Solid understanding of data lake architecture, cloud data platforms, and large-scale data processing.
• Experience in data modeling, schema design, partitioning, and query optimization.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience with ETL / ELT frameworks and modern data engineering practices.
• Good knowledge of data migration projects, including assessment, mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Ability to design secure, scalable, and high-performance AWS infrastructure for data workloads.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Spanish proficiency is essential; English proficiency is also required.
