We are a leading civil engineering construction company based in the Dublin region, seeking an experienced AutoCAD Technician to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for a technically skilled and proactive individual to contribute to the design, modelling, and delivery of high-quality infrastructure and site development projects.

This role is best suited to candidates with strong civil engineering experience, particularly in earthworks, roads, utilities, footpaths, and foundations, with additional capability in quantity/volume tracking and 3D modelling.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate 2D CAD and 3D models for civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Produce and update technical drawings for roads, drainage, utilities, foundations, platforms, landscaped areas, and public realm components.
• Plot and model design structures from topographic surveys, specifications, and engineer markups.
• Calculate and track earthworks volumes and material quantities at project outset and update them weekly/monthly as works progress.
• Support the pre-construction, construction, and as-built documentation phases.
• Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and project teams to ensure drawing accuracy and timely updates.
• Integrate design data into 3D BIM models; work with AutoCAD and Revit as part of BIM workflows.
• Maintain CAD standards, drawing libraries, and adhere to Irish and internal engineering standards.

✅ Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience as a CAD/AutoCAD Specialist in a civil engineering or construction setting.
• Technical diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, CAD Technology, or a related field.
• Strong command of AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D is a distinct advantage.
• Ability to calculate cut/fill volumes and manage data throughout project stages.
• Familiarity with Revit and BIM coordination processes (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, topographic surveys, and civil specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1 or C2) is mandatory.
