A passion and enthusiasm for the science and practice of managing and rehabilitating musculoskeletal conditions are essential.Your clinical remit will include supporting the development of the Orthopaedic Advanced Practice (AP) Service, alongside a dedicated Lead AP in orthopaedics. You will work with the Physiotherapy Leadership Team to enhance orthopaedic and musculoskeletal outpatient rehabilitation within the wider MSK Physiotherapy Service. Clinically, you will facilitate an early and preventative approach to patient care and provide rehabilitation (both one-to-one and group sessions) for patients with orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions. You may also work in advanced practice orthopaedic outpatient clinics, such as spine, shoulder, and knee clinics.Collaborating with colleagues in Orthopaedics, the Minor Injuries Unit, and the Emergency Department (ED), you will help ensure an integrated approach to MSK patient management. There are ongoing opportunities for service and quality improvement through this system-wide, person-centred care approach.You will have a mentor or supervisor, and a career plan will be discussed and mapped with you, exploring opportunities across the four pillars of physiotherapy practice. As an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist, you will also contribute to the Allied Health Professions (AHPs) Research, Innovation, and Knowledge Strategy.Our Physiotherapy Professional Strategic vision promotes a culture of excellence across Fife, ensuring the best possible person-centred care.
