Accounting Analyst
Overview We are seeking a full-time Accounting Analyst in our Santiago, Chile location.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of accounting matters, especially in taxes, accruals, intercompany reconciliations and support in accounts payables and receivables.
Essential Functions Support various accounting functions always under the supervision of the ControllerManage account reconciliation and local trial balance validation/controlAble to verify intercompany reconciliationControl indirect taxes processes (VAT payment file, sales book, purchase book, etc.
)Prepare direct taxes support (provide information to build income tax payment file)Manage accrual, manual adjustments, closing activities and taxes entriesServe as point of contact for local authorities (Local IRS, municipal Auditors, etc.
)Handle accounts Payable, Entering Invoices and Support in processing a large quantity of timely payments to vendors and proper tax treatment to invoices.Prepare and maintain reconciliationsPerform accounting research and analysisAnalyze accounting discrepancies and resolve as necessaryProvide accounting expertise to external and internal business partnersRecord various journal entries as needed during month/quarter-endPrepare recurring schedules as necessaryCreate, maintain and run financial reportsPrepare, analyze, and maintain various Excel spreadsheets for reconciling purposesAssist in preparation of financial reportsAssist in budget and forecast preparation as neededBasic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Business Administration or another accounting-related disciplineMinimum of 3 years' experience performing a role substantially similar to this role's essential functionsMust be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with othersSuperior organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and qualityAbility to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environmentExcellent time management skills and ability to accurately process workload effectively within a required timeframe, while maintaining accuracyDemonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsDriven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problemsDemonstrated experience in managing and implementation of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software is a plusDemonstrates proficiency using Microsoft Word and demonstrated expertise using Microsoft ExcelDesired Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business AdministrationBasic knowledge of English languagePrior experience using ERP systemGarmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
