Accounting Analyst
OverviewWe are seeking a full-timeAccounting Analystin our Santiago, Chile location.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of accounting matters, especially in taxes, accruals, intercompany reconciliations and support in accounts payables and receivables.
Essential Functions
Support various accounting functions always under the supervision of the Controller
Manage account reconciliation and local trial balance validation/control
Able to verify intercompany reconciliation
Control indirect taxes processes (VAT payment file, sales book, purchase book, etc.)
Prepare direct taxes support (provide information to build income tax payment file)
Manage accrual, manual adjustments, closing activities and taxes entries
Serve as point of contact for local authorities (Local IRS, municipal Auditors, etc.)
Handle accounts Payable, Entering Invoices and Support in processing a large quantity of timely payments to vendors and proper tax treatment to invoices.
Prepare and maintain reconciliations
Perform accounting research and analysis
Analyze accounting discrepancies and resolve as necessary
Provide accounting expertise to external and internal business partners
Record various journal entries as needed during month/quarter-end
Prepare recurring schedules as necessary
Create, maintain and run financial reports
Prepare, analyze, and maintain various Excel spreadsheets for reconciling purposes
Assist in preparation of financial reports
Assist in budget and forecast preparation as needed
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Business Administration or another accounting-related discipline
Minimum of 3 years' experience performing a role substantially similar to this role's essential functions
Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
Superior organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment
Excellent time management skills and ability to accurately process workload effectively within a required timeframe, while maintaining accuracy
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problems
Demonstrated experience in managing and implementation of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software is a plus
Demonstrates proficiency using Microsoft Word and demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Excel
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
Basic knowledge of English language
Prior experience using ERP system
