Job Title: Accountant

Location: Iquique, Chile (On-site, Full-time)

Salary: USD $1,000/month

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in Iquique. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in accounting within the ZOFRI framework and demonstrate strong technical skills in financial reporting, reconciliation, and budgeting. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring immediate availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Prepare and analyze financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports)
• Perform bank reconciliations and process journal entries
• Ensure timely and accurate invoice processing and vendor payments
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close procedures
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, improve cost efficiency, and support decision-making
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and Zofri regulations
• Support tax filing and other regulatory financial reporting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Certified CMA or ACCA designation
• Minimum 2–3 years of Zofri {Zona Franca de Iquique} accounting experience
• Proficient in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel (advanced level required)
• Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail and accuracy
• Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in both English and Spanish (verbal and written)
• Must be available to start immediately
