The Role
NHS Lanarkshire is looking to recruit a Superintendent Radiographer, based within University Hospital Hairmyres. The post holder will be Lead Radiographer for one or more highly specialised Radiographic imaging modalities with associated managerial responsibility for Radiographic staff, resources, and a devolved budget. You will support the Deputy Radiology Service Manager and Clinical Director in meeting operational and strategic targets, and improving the quality of patient care within the Radiology Speciality.

What We'll Need You to Bring
- Registered Radiographer with valid HCPC Registration
- Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
- Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards
- Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, and policies
- Management qualification or equivalent experience
- Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality
- Excellent team-working/leadership skills
- Effective listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management skills
- Working knowledge of basic information technology
- Must be able to travel to attend meetings
- Full, valid driver’s license
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
- Evidence of clinical training and personal motivation
- Radiographic QA experience
- DR Radiography experience
- Extensive knowledge of plain radiography imaging
- Training/refresher on Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2017
- Evidence of management/leadership training
Contract Type
Permanent, Full time, 37 hours.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Radiology within University Hospital Hairmyres with a working pattern of Monday to Friday. Applicants may also be considered for similar vacancies in alternative locations.
