Position Overview The Global Customs, Logistics and Supply Chain Manager will lead trade compliance, logistics and supply chain operations for the Veracio business worldwide. Based in Santiago, Chile this role is responsible for day-to-day management of global vendors, international shipments, supplier and third-party performance, and trade compliance functions, while ensuring adherence to international customs regulations. The role will manage Veracio’s global HS code database, customs accounts, document retention requirements, and import/export licensing and permits, and serve as the primary liaison with vendors and customs authorities for operational matters. The successful candidate will balance compliance oversight with proactive logistics coordination, cost control, and vendor management Key Responsibilities Trade Compliance Maintain and manage Veracio’s global HS code classification database. Ensure compliance with customs documentation requirements and 100% adherence to document retention policies. Manage company accounts with customs authorities, including duty/VAT payment accounts, prepayment programs, and account reconciliations. Oversee special licenses, permits, and authorizations required for import and export across global jurisdictions. Monitor and manage temporary imports, renewals, and related customs documentation. Provide guidance to internal teams on import/export requirements and procedures. Generate POs and track deliveries for inventory orders and global asset transfers Maintain compliance of FAR database Logistics & Operations Management Oversee day-to-day logistics operations for Veracio’s global shipments (inbound and outbound). Coordinate shipment planning, freight booking, packing, customs clearance, and delivery schedules. Monitor and report shipment status, including ETA, transit issues, and on-time performance. Ensure smooth coordination between operations, suppliers, and logistics providers to minimize delivery risks. Supplier & Third-Party Management Manage relationships with suppliers, global freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers. Oversee the work of third-party consultants supporting trade compliance matters. Define, track, and review KPIs for vendor performance (e.g., OTTP, cost efficiency, invoice accuracy). Drive continuous improvements and corrective actions with external partners where required. Analytics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement Provide timely reporting on trade compliance and logistics KPIs to internal stakeholders. Track compliance metrics (HS code accuracy, customs account reconciliations, document retention, and license/permit renewals). Identify and implement cost savings and process efficiency improvements in freight and customs operations. Support the development of standardized global trade compliance and logistics policies for Veracio. Key Success Metrics (KPIs) 100% compliance with HS code classification, license/permit renewals, and document retention requirements On-time customs duty and VAT account reconciliations and payments ≥ 95% On-Time to Promise (OTTP) for shipments Achievement of global freight and logistics cost reduction targets Vendor performance in line with contractual KPIs Qualifications & Experience Languages: Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish required; French is an advantage Experience: 3–5 years in trade compliance, supply chain, or international logistics. Expertise in Canadian import/export policy is required.
